Abstract
1. Irreversible deafness is a relatively frequent complication of ep. 2. Introductions of hearing follow-up examinations should be considered after ep due to the possibility of late occurrence of hearing impairment and difficulties with the diagnosis resulting from the patients' age and most frequently one sided deafness.
