Abstract
Neurofibromatosis type 1 is a syndrome with inherited predisposition to CNS tumors, especially optic pathway tumors and brainstem gliomas. We recommend a multidisciplinary approach to the care of patients with NF1 with a crucial role of an oncologist. UBOs may play a role of new additional criteria in the diagnostic process, especially in children.
