Abstract
The increasing prevalence of allergic diseases is a serious medical and social problem and Poland is one of countries where allergy is highly prevalent. Predisposing factors (genetical) and factors promoting allergic inflammation (environmental) are observed even in prenatal period. In postnatal life patients from atopic families answer for the contact with environmental allergens by the increase of IgE production which leads to sensitivity and to allergic inflammation responsible for clinical manifestation of allergy. Authors present the evolution of clinical course of atopic allergy during continuous years of life and show modern methods of primary and secondary prevention.
