Abstract
Clinical parameters do not play direct role in forecasting the kind of viral response in children with CHC treated with pegylated interferon alfa and ribavirin. Patients with positive therapeutic effect but with present HCV genetic material in peripheral blood mononuclear cells should be counted into group with transient response. The differences between the variants in regions of ISDR and PKR can show, before therapy, the effects of it, however not as definitely as the analysis of HVR1, these observations require further research on bigger number of patients.
