Abstract
Case of intracranial bleedings in an infant at the 3 and 4 month of life is presented. The reason of bleeding was vitamin K-dependent clotting factor deficiency: II, VII, IX and X. Intracranial bleeding was the first symptom of vitamin K deficiency and liver disease: progressive familiar intrahepatic cholestasis. Fresh frozen plasma, vitamin K and recombinant activated factor VII infusions normalized hemostasis. Since vitamin K has been substituted severe bleedings have not reccurred.
