Abstract
The most frequent reason of acute poisoning were drugs. There were correlation between age, place of residence and frequency of poisoning. In teenagers and preschool children the most frequent cause of poisoning were drugs. In infants and school children a main cause of poisoning were other ksenobiotics. Acute poisoning mainly concerned urban children. There is correlation between type of acute poisoning, treatment and clinical picture and duration of hospitalization period.
