ZusammenfassungDer Deltaband-Komplex auf der medialen Seite sowie der Syndesmose-Komplex zwischen Tibia und Fibula sind für die Erhaltung der Kongruenz der Malleolengabel verantwortlich.Der erste Fall beschreibt einen diagnostischen Fehlschlag, bei dem die Verletzung von Deltaband- und Syndesmose-Komplex unterschätzt wurde.Der zweite Fall illustriert den Verlauf nach einer trimalleolären Luxationsfraktur des oberen Sprunggelenkes mit anschließender Insuffizienz des Syndesmose-Komplexes, welche durch die Schaffung einer Synostose behandelt wurde.Der wichtigste Aspekt in der Behandlung von Verletzungen des medialen Bandapparates und Syndesmose-Komplexes ist und bleibt die frühe Erkennung sowie die aktive operative Behandlung um die Stabilität im Sprunggelenk zu garantieren.
