Abstract

SummaryWe present the case of a 36-year-old woman with a symptomatic complete atrioventricular block. After full examinations we came to the conclusion that itraconazole therapy was the cause. Imidazoles, specifically when they are administered orally as itraconazole, are very successful for treating mucosis. Their most frequent side effects are liver and gastrointestinal, but no complete atrioventricular block has been described in the literature until now.
