Las indicaciones en estimulación cardíaca evolucionan de forma paralela a la aparición de nuevos estudios clínicos y la mejora en la tecnología del marcapasos. Conocer las nuevas recomendaciones de la Sociedad Europea de Cardiología nos permite mejorar nuestro ejercicio clínico. El Grupo de Trabajo en Cirugía de las Arritmias y Estimulación Cardíaca de la Sociedad Española de Cirugía Torácica-Cardiovascular ha resumido, desde un prisma quirúrgico, las actuales guías euro peas, con la finalidad de divulgar esta nueva información científica.
The indications in cardiac pacing evolve in parallel with the emergence of new clinical studies and the improvement in the technology of pacemakers. The acquaintance of the new recommendations of the European Society of Cardiology allows us to improve our clinical practice. The Working Group on the Surgical Arrhythmias and Cardiac Pacing of the Spanish Society of Thoracic-Cardiovascular Surgery has summarized, from a surgical perspective, the current European guidelines, with the aim of spreading this new scientific information.
