Abstract
The calcinations of SnO2 hydrosol/starch composite materials under an argon atmosphere gave nano-sized SnO2/Sn/carbon clusters composite materials. ESR and UV–vis spectral examinations suggest the possibility of light-responsive electron transfer from carbon clusters to SnO2 and/or Sn particles.
