Abstract
The use of cardiovascular magnetic resonance in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy over the last decade has helped elucidate the diagnosis, prognosis, pathophysiology, and management of this disease. Studies have shown that the use of magnetic resonance imaging in a patient with a permanent pacemaker and implantable cardioverter defibrillator is safe.
