Abstract
Cardiovascular magnetic resonance is a diagnostic technique with a wide range of possible applications. Recently, clinical indications for its use have been formalized in a number of consensus documents. The existence of a range of different modalities for using the technique and, in particular, the variable degree of complexity involved in carrying out different types of examination make it essential that clear recommendations are available to help guide cardiologists and radiologists just entering the field. The present article summarizes the views of a panel of experts from the Spanish Society of Cardiology Working Group on Cardiac MRI and Cardiac CT.
