Abstract
This article reviews the usefulness of cardiovascular magnetic resonance in the noninvasive diagnosis and follow-up of congenital heart disease. Particular emphasis is placed on the most frequent reasons for requesting a cardiovascular magnetic resonance study: intracardiac communication, anatomical and functional studies of aortic coarctation, and postoperative follow-up of tetralogy of Fallot and other complex congenital malformations.
