Abstract
We report the case of a 58 year old man with persistent fever and respiratory distress associated with episodes of bronchospasm, renal function impairment and multiple mononeuropathy with development of multiple organic dysfunction. After extensive microbiological study, imaging, bronchoscopic and cytological he was diagnosed with positive ANCA vasculitis compatible with Churg-Strauss syndrome. Following the initiation of immunosuppressive therapy and plasmapheresis cycle the patient evolved satisfactorily, ventilatory support is removed the rehabilitation starts and finally he is discharged.
