Abstract
We report findings in rare case of a patient with infiltrative lipomatosis presenting as hemifacial hyperplasia with TMJ ankylosis. The unusual presentation of lipomatosis around nerves with bone overgrowth impeded quick diagnosis, leading the authors to conduct a literature review in addition to analysis of clinical, CT, MRI, and pathological findings to eliminate differentials, specifically, the distinction between infiltrative lipomatosis, neurolipomatosis, and hemifacial hyperplasia. The conclusions of the findings confirm the difficultly in pinpointing such a manifestation for hemifacial hyperplasia that presents with lipomatosis.
