Abstract
Non-US-guided ethanol sclerotherapy is a safe and “easy-to-use” procedure to treat benign thyroid cysts effectively. Because this new treatment does not need US-guidance, it can be performed by endocrinologists during outpatient visits. This new procedure may be useful in some areas, such as developing countries, where access to US examination is limited.
