Abstract
Meckel's diverticulum is the most prevalent congenital abnormality of the gastrointestinal tract. Bleeding from Meckel's diverticulum is the most common clinical presentation, especially in chidhood. In adults, its manifestations include a broad spectrum of symptoms ranging from an incidental finding in surgery, iron deficiency anemia or abdomen acute. Neoplastic transformation has been reported, being gastrointestinal stromal tumors excepcional in this location. We report a case of gastrointestinal stromal tumor, into Meckel's diverticulum, complicated with a perforation.
