Abstract
⺠This study confirmed self-determination theory in Internet contexts. ⺠Perceived need satisfaction online positively predicted children's Internet use outcomes. ⺠High levels of perceived need satisfaction in daily real life predicted children's healthy Internet use pattern. ⺠The results implicate a way of preventing children from disordered Internet use.
