Abstract
This research integrates the merits of Grey theory and principal component analysis (PCA). In addition to the revision on the calculation of grey absolute degree of incidence (GADI), it uses the matrix constructed by GADI to replace the traditional PCA correlation matrix, establishing the Grey PCA evaluation model. Based on the model, this research dynamically evaluates the financial performance of six maritime companies within a five-year period and obtains a stable evaluation result. Thus, this model can provide an easy-to-use theoretical and computational framework for multi-criteria decision making (MCDM).
