Abstract

Introducing innovative knowledge into the existing knowledge base will enhance enterprise benefits successfully. Recent studies presented numerous strategies to manage innovative knowledge; however, these strategies cannot be explored quantitatively and dynamically. This study presents a knowledge diffusion model associated with innovative knowledge to investigate the influence of the adoption of innovative knowledge on knowledge asset advancement and on enterprise benefits enhancement. Various parameters are considered simultaneously in the proposed model to illustrate different sub-systems of knowledge management. The feasibility of the proposed model has been demonstrated by a Taiwanese company that adopts six-sigma knowledge to improve the product/service quality. The results indicate that the model can appropriately describe the relationships among existing knowledge value, innovative knowledge value, and enterprise benefits. Since the adjusted R2 values of all estimated equations are acceptable, managers can evaluate the performance of knowledge management and further establish more effective knowledge strategies via parameters analysis.
