Abstract

In this paper a novel Power Factor Correction (PFC) controller Proportional Resonant-Based PFC Controller (PRBPFCC) is proposed. The structure of the controller is explicit. The fussy coefficient tuning procedure for traditional controller is avoided. Then selective harmonic suppression of PFC is investigated and another controller is proposed based on PRBPFCC. Finally the validity of the controller for PFC and the selective harmonic suppression controller are verified through simulation and experiment with a UPS system.

► We analysis the deficiency of the traditional PFC controller with form of PI. ► PFC is same as common grid-connected circuit except PFC control is non-negative. ► PR controller are introduced in PFC to realize sinusoidal tracking with zero-error. ► PR controllers are also introduced to realize harmonic suppressing with zero-error.
