Abstract
The paper focuses on the modelling of the daily (24 h) load waveforms in the MV/LV transformer substations feeding the household-type power consumers. The analysis of recorded loads carried out for some substations during one year has shown that the shape of the load curve depends on the consumer-describing characteristics as well as on the external conditions, mainly geographical and weather ones. The considerations focused on the lighting-related load which is, in turn, related to the sunrise and sunset hours. A method of calculating such a load and of modelling its basic parameters has been proposed. Examples of models for three distinguished consumer groups have been reported.
