Abstract
Therapeutic education (TE) and smoking cessation are key points for patient's management during pulmonary rehabilitation. Healthcare professionals have chosen to develop both practices and are now performing TE during smoking cessation programs. Is TE really supposed to be a part of addictions therapy? Which place is it supposed to be? Could TE enhance smoking cessation programs? A literature search by a healthcare team involved in smoking cessation and addiction treatments has performed. The required clinical skills are clearly similar and complementary in both TE and addictology/tabacology.
