Abstract
In this paper the hybrid finite difference frequency domain-mode matching (FDFD-MM) method is applied to the analysis of circular cavities loaded with cylindrical metallic objects with arbitrary cross-section. In comparison to our previous work, the method is extended to TM/TE cases, where variation of a field along z-axis is assumed. The error estimation of the method is presented and discussed. The resonance frequencies of circular resonators containing objects with arbitrary shape are determined. A good agreement of the presented method with analytical approach, commercial software and measurements is obtained.
