Abstract
The upper and lower bounds for the throughput capacity of hybrid multi-channel wireless networks are investigated. The network under consideration consists of two types of nodes, base stations and ad hoc nodes, and each node is equipped with m interfaces where m is smaller than the number of channels c. Two scaling regimes are identified, based on the growth of the number of channels c relative to the number of interfaces m . We show that in such network with up to Olog(n)Olog(n) channels, there is no capacity degradation even with a single interface per node.
