Abstract
The input stage design in current-feedback operational amplifiers (CFOAs) is primarily responsible for determining the performance of the amplifier, including input voltage range, input referred offset voltage and DC input current. This paper focuses on analysis of the input stage of the conventional CFOA. The outcome of the work gives clear insight into the operation of the CFOA and establishes the mechanisms responsible for determining these parameters.
