On non-blocking multi-stage switching networks with rearrangement or repacking

This paper deals with recent results on non-blocking multi-stage switching networks with rearrangement or repacking and with simultaneous or sequential reswitching. Networks with rearrangement and simultaneous reswitching are considered in some detail. For networks with repacking and simultaneous reswitching, an efficient structure is suggested. For networks with rearrangement or repacking and sequential reswitching suitable configurations are presented. In addition to structure aspects, reswitching methods and crosspoint requirements are also considered.
