Service Providers (SPs) that want to offer elastic classes of services with a guaranteed Grade of Service (GoS) could be interested in knowing the quantitative influence of the agreed GoS in the evaluation of the Mean Reserved Bandwidth metric for each reservation class (MRBi). The maximization of this metric allows SPs to use their resources as much as possible. On the contrary, the guarantee of a high level in the GoS could require not using as much resources as SPs would desire. Further, in this paper a method to establish the prices that should be assigned to two classes of elastic services is proposed. This pricing proposal takes into consideration the impact of the GoS in the evaluation of the MRBi, in three different wired scenarios.
