Abstract
We say that a subgroup H is isolated in a group G if for each x∈Gx∈G we have either x∈Hx∈H or 〈x〉∩H={1}〈x〉∩H={1}. Here we shall determine certain classes of finite nonabelian p-groups which possess some isolated subgroups ( Theorem 1, Theorem 2, Theorem 4, Theorem 6, Theorem 8, Theorem 9, Theorem 10, Theorem 11, Theorem 12, Theorem 13, Theorem 14, Theorem 15 and Theorem 16).
