Abstract

Let p   be a prime and let FF be a saturated fusion system over a finite p-group P  . A fusion system FF is said to be nilpotent if F=FP(P)F=FP(P). We give various criteria for a saturated fusion system FF to be nilpotent, which generalize the analogous criteria for a finite group to be p-nilpotent.
