Note on the mean value of L(12,χ) in the hyperelliptic ensemble

In this paper we obtain an asymptotic formula for the first moment of quadratic Dirichlet L-functions L(s,χD) over the rational function field at the central point s=12, where D runs over all monic square-free polynomials of even degree.
