Let Ω:=ω×RΩ:=ω×R where ω⊂R2ω⊂R2 is a bounded domain, and let V:Ω→RV:Ω→R be a bounded potential which is 2π -periodic in the variable x3∈Rx3∈R. We study the inverse problem consisting in the determination of V , through the boundary spectral data of the operator u↦Au:=−Δu+Vuu↦Au:=−Δu+Vu, acting on L2(ω×(0,2π))L2(ω×(0,2π)), with quasi-periodic and Dirichlet boundary conditions. More precisely we show that if for j=1,2j=1,2 two potentials VjVj are given so that ‖Vj‖∞≤R‖Vj‖∞≤R, and if we denote by (λj,k)k(λj,k)k the eigenvalues of the operators AjAj (that is the operator A with V:=VjV:=Vj), then for a constant c>0c>0, depending on ω and R>0R>0, we have ‖F((V1−V2)1ω×(0,2π))‖∞≤climsupk→∞|λ1,k−λ2,k|, provided that ∑k≥1‖ψ1,k−ψ2,k‖L2(∂ω×[0,2π])2<∞, where ψj,k:=∂ϕj,k/∂nψj,k:=∂ϕj,k/∂n (here FF denotes the Fourier transform). The arguments developed here may be applied to other spectral inverse problems, and similar results can be obtained.
