Abstract
A λλ-configuration (vr,bk)λ(vr,bk)λ is a finite incidence structure of vv points and b blocks such that each block contains exactly k points, each point lies on exactly r blocks and two different points are connected by at most λλ blocks. If v=bv=b and hence r=kr=k, then a λλ-configuration is symmetric. From any block design we construct λλ-configurations. Some block designs lead to symmetric λλ-configurations, and some leads to resolvable λλ-configurations.
