Abstract
We prove that, for any positive integers kk, nn, and qq, if MM is a simple matroid that has neither a U2,q+2U2,q+2-minor nor an M(Kn)M(Kn)-minor and MM has sufficiently large rank, then MM has a cocircuit of size at most r(M)/kr(M)/k.
