Abstract
The possibility of data input errors increases in an online environment. This commonly occurs where a user engages in an automated transaction with the other party's electronic agent/machine and the electronic communication is not subject to human review before the parties act on it. An E-tailer or Web merchant may also upload incorrect data onto the Web site and such information is acted upon by the user to clinch the deal before the other party discovers the error. The legal effects of E-contracts formed as a result of such errors are issues of significance in eCommerce.
