Abstract
⺠At least two petroleum systems operate in the Abu Gharadig Basin. ⺠Late Cretaceous, Jurassic-Early Cretaceous and possibly a third appears to a mix of both. ⺠The Khatatba Fm can be discounted as the primary contributor to the Abu Gharadig oils. ⺠Additional Cretaceous and Jurassic source rocks contributed to oil accumulation.
