Abstract
► At least two petroleum systems operate in the Abu Gharadig Basin. ► Late Cretaceous, Jurassic-Early Cretaceous and possibly a third appears to a mix of both. ► The Khatatba Fm can be discounted as the primary contributor to the Abu Gharadig oils. ► Additional Cretaceous and Jurassic source rocks contributed to oil accumulation.
