Abstract
Error analysis is developed for a parameter expansion method of determining the corrosion coefficient in a pipe. For the two approximate solutions proposed, the magnitude of their errors is shown to be O(a)O(a) and O(a2)O(a2), respectively, where aa stands for the thickness of the pipe.
