Abstract
This paper proposes a statistical method to obtain the value of ππ from empirical economic and financial data. It is the first study ever to link ππ to human behavior. It is shown that virtually any economic time series, such as stock indices, exchange rates and the GDP data can be used to retrieve the value of ππ.
