Abstract
The paper presents the description of a new aphid family Bajsaphididae from the Lower Cretaceous of Baissa, Russia. Four new species of the family are described, i.e. Bajsaphis abbreviata sp. nov., Bajsaphis cuspidata sp. nov., Bajsaphis eridmata sp. nov. and Bajsaphis pulchra sp. nov. The new family is similar to the families Canadaphididae, Oviparosiphidae and Sinaphididae which are characterized by having both the ovipositor and siphunculi. Evolutionary aspects of the new family are discussed.
