Abstract
⺠Berriasian ammonites are described for the first time from NW Iran. ⺠They mostly belong to the neocomitid subfamily Berriasellinae. ⺠The ammonites indicate the early Berriasian Berriasella jacobi Zone. ⺠Species are common in European and North African Tethyan successions. ⺠We describe the new taxon Taleshites fuersichi nov. gen., nov. sp.
