Abstract
⺠S. falklandensis has been recorded at Lower-Middle Albian Austral Basin. ⺠Its biostratigraphic and paleoceanographic importance are evaluated. ⺠Late Aptian Tethyan origin and Albian migration to high-latitudes is proposed. ⺠It is considered an important marker species for austral high-latitudes.
