Abstract

The new genus and species of aeschnidiid dragonfly Linaeschnidium sinensis is described from the Early Cretaceous of China. Its close relationships with the two Western European genera Angloaeschnidium, and Lleidoaeschnidium confirms the great affinities between the aeshnidiid faunas of the two areas despite of the presence of continental seas between them during this period.
