Abstract
A new genus and species of stonefly, Sinosharaperla zhaoi gen. et sp. nov. (Plecoptera: Siberioperlidae), is described from the Yixian Formation (Late Jurassic–Early Cretaceous), Beipiao City, Liaoning Province, northeast China. This is the first record of Siberioperlidae from China. The well-preserved holotype specimen enabled us to study, for the first time, the venation of fore- and hind wings and fore- and hind legs on the same specimen of an imago in this family. The phylogenetic relationship of the family and the palaeoenvironment reflected by the Yixian Formation are briefly discussed.
