Abstract
Phenol was selected as a hydrogen bonding donator to estimate the effect of hydrogen bonding receptor in the micropores of four kinds of different functional group modified hyper-cross-linked adsorbents on adsorption. The adsorption capacity of phenol onto the adsorbents followed the order GQ-1Â >Â GQ-2Â >Â GQ-5Â >Â H103. Density functional theory indicated that hydrogen bonding receptor in the micropores of adsorbent was a crucial factor for the capacity order.164
