Abstract
Nowadays, maintaining at home persons affected by cognitive disorders is a real challenge. Home assistance must allow them to keep a certain level of autonomy at home while not being intrusive. This study presents a non intrusive load appliance load monitoring for supervising simple actions realized by patient in a smart home. Contextual information allow to improve the appliance recognition rate. The experimentation results show that the designed system could provide invaluable information for an assistance application for cooking.
