Abstract

Model-driven engineering of networked ambient systems (NAS) calls for advanced features in order to cope with the particular demands of hardware platforms, communication, and applications in the NAS domain. We present our holistic model-driven approach SDL-MDD, with SDL as modeling language, and propose and combine several extensions and specification styles to meet these demands: tasks, real-time signaling, energy-mode signaling and energy scheduling, and bounded input queues, partially summarizing and consolidating results of our previous work. Some extensiions are fully supported by the tool chain of SDL-MDD, and have already been used for the development of solutions in the NAS domain.
