Abstract

The triple band dual polarized configurations of E-shaped Sectoral Microstrip antennas are proposed. The pair of rectangular slots in E-shaped Sectoral patch tunes the spacing between fundamental and next three higher order modes to realize triple frequency response. The proposed antenna yields variable frequency ratio of 1.5 to 1.7 at first two, ratio of 2.0 to 3.5 at first and third and ratio of 2 to 2.5 at first and fourth mode resonance frequency, with nearly 2% bandwidth at individual modes. To improve upon the gain, three layer suspended configurations of E-shaped Sectoral microstrip antennas are proposed, which yields gain of more than 3 dBi at the individual modal frequencies in co-polar direction.
