Abstract
Parameter sweep applications represent an important class of computational applications in science and technology that are naturally suited for running in distributed environments. How- ever, the heterogeneous and complex nature of such environments requires the use of high-level tools that automate application runs. The paper presents a generic web service that enables users to describe their parameter sweep experiments using the simple declarative language and run experiments across arbitrary ad-hoc computing infrastructures. The service is built on Everest platform that provides web-based interfaces and meta-scheduling functionality. The performance of the service is demonstrated by running several real case applications.
