Abstract
- NOx and soot emissions from a diesel engine are modeled using artificial neural network model.
- The data used for training and testing the ANN model are obtained through testing a diesel engine.
- The mass fuel rate, intake air temperature, etc. are optimized using ant colony optimization algorithm.
- The ACO algorithm gives rise to 32% and 7% reduction in the NOx and soot emissions, respectively.
