Abstract
The paper represents the design and fabrication of a coplanar wave guide (CPW) based Band pass filter for K - band application. In this paper for getting the desired resonant frequency with a good performance (in terms of notch level) modification of the signal line and switches are carried out. Ten distributed switches are implemented to attain the tunability. The simulated result shows that the insertion loss and return loss is improved by using the (CSRR) structure. Detailed Electro mechanical analysis of various materials and parameters are done to make the device applicable for satellite communication. The simulated and fabricated devices operating in the frequency range of 26.16-27.37 GHz has attained a Return loss of −42.76 dB and an Insertion loss of −0.9 dB. It gives a tuning of 4%. The device works with a low pull-in voltage of 15.3 V.
